LeeAnn Smith Weintraub is a Registered Dietitian, Nutrition Consultant, and food and nutrition writer who offers individual and family nutrition consulting. LeeAnn tailors nutrition consultations to meet the unique needs of each client by providing education, necessary tools, and guidance in lifestyle modification, empowering the client to set goals to transform their health.
LeeAnn utilizes the latest research and most effective tools and methods to achieve results. She facilitates ongoing communication with the client’s healthcare team and provides the referring physician with progress notes and recommendations.
LeeAnn specializes in diabetes, kidney disease, cardiac health, and adult weight management. She is certified in child and adolescent weight management. Other areas of expertise include women's nutrition, gerontology nutrition, digestive disorders, vegetarian/vegan diets, food allergies, kosher diets, sustainable eating, and disease prevention.
LeeAnn received a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed a dietetic internship through the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, the California Dietetic Association, the Dietetics Practice Based Research Network, the Renal Dietitians Dietetic Practice Group, the American Pregnancy Association, and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Group.
LeeAnn is an Analyst for the American Dietetic Association's Evidence Analysis Library, a synthesis of the best, most relevant nutritional research on important dietetic practice questions. She is a participating dietitian in the BMI2 study, a randomly controlled trial on pediatric obesity.

LeeAnn is the author of the Everything Glycemic Index Cookbook. She has contributed to television, radio and print media including KTLA, KFWB, Cosmopolitan, Fitness Magazine, US Weekly, Today's Dietitian, the Renal Nutrition Forum, and the Journal of Renal Nutrition.
